Early Learner Families:
There are several class parties throughout the school year.  Moms, dads, and grandparents are welcome to attend those!  Other events to attend are the monthly Providence Park Days, the Mentoring Moms events (once a quarter), and the Parent Education events.  Ask your Providence Partner family about other ways to get involved! 

Lower School Families: 
Your child's grade will have class parties throughout the year, as well as a Living History day in the spring.  Be sure to mark those on your calendar and attend those.  Another way to become involved is by signing up to volunteer through Parent Council.  Larger Parent Council roles are selected the spring before the new school year.  In the fall there will be a meeting where you can sign up for a variety of smaller roles.  You also may eat lunch with your child any day of the week and attend Chapel with your student on Fridays.  Since there are no school sponsored sports, your child may sign up for a sport under the YMCA.  Parents in each grade will organize and form Providence YMCA sports teams.  We will offer a few Parent Education events during the school year, which are both encouraging and helpful in building community with other Providence parents.  Ask your Providence Partner about other ways to get involved!

Your child's teacher will call you a couple of weeks before the first day of school.

Lower School: 
Your child's teacher will call you sometime during the week before the first day of school. 

Middle School: 
You will receive a list of your child's section assignment at Back-to-School Night.

Back-to-School Night is an excited evening event for all Providence parents (this event is for parents only). You will hear important updates within the school, meet the new faculty and staff, and have a time of fellowship with the parents in the community. It is also where you will pick up your carpool tags and where parents of middle school students will learn their child's classroom assignments. 

Since we have limited staff working in the summer, the Providence Field and Playground are closed during the summer months unless you are attending an event or summer camp.

Yes!  The Providence Library will be open on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. during the month of June, beginning June 2.  All books checked out over the summer will be due no later than Wednesday, June 30. 

We ask you and your family to please follow a few rules when using the Library this summer: 

1. Please make sure to sign in with Cindy Newsom at the front desk. 
2. Do not venture anywhere else in the School or on the school grounds. 
3. Supervise young children while in the Library.

The Headmaster's Reading Society is a special honor for all Class One through Eight students who read the "35 Great Books" list for their grade.  Upon completion, students are presented with a certificate, a book, and other awards based on their grade level.  For more information on this challenge, please visit the Parent Portal page.

We have an easy-to-use search feature on our website. On any page you can click the top right menu (three horizontal lines) button and enter a keyword of what you might be looking for in the search bar. If you are still unable to find what you are looking for, please contact a member of our communication team (Dominique Sung or Ann Piper).

Re-enrollment for current students takes place in February. On February 1, you will receive an email with instructions on how to re-enroll your child. You have until February 15 to submit those forms. 

We desire to make Providence accessible to all mission-appropriate and like-minded families. If at any point you feel you cannot afford the Providence tuition, please reach out to Karen Chapman to determine how we can possibly adjust your tuition rate according to your family's financial position. We want to do whatever we can to alleviate any financial barrier that may preclude your children from experiencing a Providence education. 

Since we know your family's financial position can change from year to year, we ask that you fill out the Tuition Adjustment application during the re-enrollment process each year. 

To stay true to Providence's mission of providing academically able students with a challenging educational experience, all siblings must go through the admission process. While there is preference given to siblings of current students, siblings are not guaranteed acceptance. Our desire is to use the admission process to determine if we think each new applicant has the potential to thrive at Providence.
