Now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year
IMPORTANT NOTE
Our application process is administered through Ravenna, a third-party company serving schools across the country. Please be advised that some of the language and options found on their site do not align with Providence’s Core Values and Statement of Faith.
Virtue
It is a word not commonly used in education today, but it is one you will hear frequently at Providence Christian School. Providence is committed to promoting the innocence of childhood while also preparing its older students for their further education in a world increasingly hostile to Christian faith and virtue.
For more than 30 years, Providence has prepared academically able students from prekindergarten through eighth grade to live purposefully and intelligently in the service of God and man. Our accomplished faculty, small student-teacher ratio, and classical instructional methods and curricula allow us to help students to form the habits, intellect, and character necessary to live purposefully and intelligently in the service of God and man.
Parents at Providence share a common faith in Jesus Christ and a mutual agreement with Providence’s Core Values—faith, family, intellect, virtue, and stewardship. If you share our passion for training children in wisdom and knowledge, we invite you to apply.
Our admission team is delighted to assist you in every stage of the process, from your initial inquiry to the time you join our community as Providence parents.
STEPS TO APPLY
Please take note of the process and due dates below. All forms and applications are submitted through our admission portal, Ravenna.
LATE APPLICANTS
Applications and test scores received after the respective due dates will be moved to our late applicant pool. Late applicants will receive an invitation to parent interviews after all other interviews have been completed and will be sent admission decisions after all other applicants. Please make every effort to be on time submitting your application and test scores.
To determine for which grade your child is eligible for the 2023-2024 school year, please see our birthdate chart.
Our strict birthdate policy has been informed by many years of cultivating cohesive and flourishing grades of students. Exceptions to this policy are very rare and only made when Providence determines it is in the best interest of the child.

APPLY TO PROVIDENCE
Providence uses an online application service called Ravenna. To apply, click on the link to create an account and begin the process. If you have created a Ravenna account for another school and/or child, please use your existing Ravenna account. It will manage all of your Ravenna applications. If you have more than one child, you only need one Ravenna account since it accommodates multiple children applying to multiple schools. If you have any questions, feel free to call Meredith Lockhart at (214) 302-2812.
If you have not already attended an admission event or toured the School, we encourage you to do so before applying.
