Historically, Providence has offered various summer camps to provide fun and skill-building activities for our students. After much prayer and deliberation, we decided that it is in the best interest of our community to cancel our June summer camps this year.
As we wait to see how regulations and recommendations progress over the summer, we will re-evaluate whether or not we can safely host the Class One Jump Start camp. Below is more information on this program.
Coach/Instructor: Gigi Adams and Sue Windrick
Who/Level: Rising Class One students
Dates/Times: August 3-7; 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Description: Developed in 2006, Jump Start now begins its fifteenth year preparing Class One students for their first formal school experience. Jump Start students are introduced to Providence classroom etiquette. We practice listening skills and expose the students to beginning math concepts, phonograms, and even spelling rules! Our desire is to quell fears and excite the students about Class One.
We will send communication to all parents of rising Class One students when we make a decision. If you would like to go ahead and express interest in this camp, please contact Sue Windrick.
