Join us 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, in the Gym to hear Keith McCurdy present “Raising Sturdy Children.” We want to take a long view in approaching how we raise our children, and Mr. McCurdy’s biblically-based message will have some very practical tips to guide our decisions and thought processes.
Each year, Providence students take several weeks to read excellent works of literature to help raise funds for the scholarship fund. While raising these funds, they increase their reading skills and comprehension levels and develop an appreciation for the masters of literature as they explore new works and revisit old “friends” all while learning to be more others-focused!
Please join us from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 26, at Providence Presbyterian Church, to hear Dr. Brad Schwall and Dr. Carrie Davidson present “Stress—How to Help Your Kids Learn to Manage Stress (and How to Manage YOUR Stress).”
On Wednesday, January 17, the section spelling bee winners from Classes Five-Eight will compete for the coveted 2018 Providence Spelling Bee Crown. This winner will go on to the Dallas Morning News Regional Spelling Bee. The pursuit of accurate spelling helps all students in their quest to become articulate in the written expression of their thoughts.
